Sister Weekend on July 25, 2025

Me and my sister decided to have a sister weekend on this past Friday. We had heard about some sales in Barnes & Nobles and decided to go over. We started with the matcha by going to our favorite coffee shop. Typically at this coffee shop, we get blended drinks as a sweet treat. It can be anything from a cinnamon roll coffee, a strawberry chocolate coffee, or many others. The previous night I had a dream about getting a lavender matcha at a new coffee shop in town. On this day, they had a lavender matcha to order. While it wasn’t the exact one from my dream, I ordered it. My sister decided to get a regular matcha.

We made our way over to Barnes & Nobles to see what sales were left at our store. While we did not find many books we wanted in the sales, I found they had the Anne Rice Vampire Chronicles. My sister had been highly recommending this series to me since I loved her book Violin. I had been trying to look for the books since but many used bookstores had the 2nd book or the 3rd - not the 1st. Then I found this collection to have all 3 of them. So I decided to get that. I also got my first leather bound book which was Pride and Prejudice. I had never read any Jane Austen books so I decided to give this one a try. The last book was another sister’s recommendation which was The Me Journal. It’s a keepsake journal where you ask yourself random questions to learn your thoughts on various things. I have started it since this day and I have enjoyed it! Definitely recommend if you like to journal.

After some more stops along the way, we decided to have a meal together. It was my turn to pick and I decided Olive Garden. We decided to get some cocktails and pasta for the day. We loved it!

Having a sister day makes the world go round! I find that these days are my favorite when I need a break from work or the mundane things. We can hang out, shop, and by the time we come home, we are ready to chill out. It’s a relaxing and exciting time.
